In the thick of lambing 🐑🐑

High lambing percentage this year, which I think is down to us looking after the ewes a lot in late summer and early autumn last year. Due to the drought last year we started feeding the ewes whole oats mixed with ewe nuts from mid August. The ewes then went onto a high energy cover crop 1 week before the tups went in. Feeding them last summer was costly at the time, but the results we are now seeing with a higher than normal lambing percentage and with ewes in good condition, it looks to have paid off.
